On October 3, 2022 Stephen Michael Murphy, Sr. beloved husband of Doris V. Murphy (nee Busick); devoted father of Stephen M. Murphy, Jr. and his companion Crystal, Matthew J. Murphy and his wife Kimberly and Jessica M. Murphy; loving son of the late Patrick and Mary Lou Murphy; son-in-law of Doris and George Busick, Sr.; dear brother of Larry Sweringen and his wife Cindy Lou, Karen Gale, Jimmy Hopkins, and the late Gordon Sweringen; brother-in-law of Peggy Sweringen and her husband Bob, George Busick, Jr and his wife Janice, William Busick and his wife Linda, Donald Busick and his wife Amber; loving grandfather of Emma, Caelyn, Madalyn, Avery and Colson Murphy; cherished uncle of Heidi, Kris, Brett and Renee Sweringen and Alyssa and Taylor Gale, Audra and William Busick, Jr., and Keith, Patrick and Donald Busick, Jr. Also survived by great nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the Maranatha Chapel, 3 Bowleys Quarters Road on Saturday, October 29 at 11am.
