Ryan Stephen Foltz was born on September 12, 1975, and was a life-long resident of eastern Baltimore County. He was a graduate of Eastern Technical High School majoring in construction skills. Ryan had a keen eye for carpentry and was always curious about what made things work. Through his early working days, he developed construction skills that transferred well to the aerospace industry and worked for Middle River Aircraft, GE Services, and Lockheed Martin. When Lockheed relocated from Maryland, he obtained a position with their international unit. In addition to an initial assignment to Taiwan, Ryan spent much time on both US coasts particularly Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and Jacksonville. His last assignments were in Michigan and Wisconsin. Ryan earned special engineering certification by completion of a curriculum developed for US Navy Engineers. When not on travel, he enjoyed vegetable gardening, house remodeling, kayaking, grilling, and finding the best seafood and steak restaurants. Sadly, Ryan left this world on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Paula Foltz, sister Michelle Foltz, and nephew Denis Martinez and niece Miriam Martinez.
