With deep love and sadness, we announce that Robert Francis "Bob" Trabing, 64, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 9, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Janet Trabing (nee Goeller); loving father of Tiffany (Scott) Merritt and Jamie Trabing; cherished grandfather of Gage Merritt, Trenton Smith, and Gavin Smith; loving son of the late James A. Trabing, Sr. and Mary T. Trabing ; dear brother of the late Christina Trabing, Michael (Deborah) Trabing, Diane Reese, and Susan Trabing. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends, and his beloved dog Maddie, who was his best friend and loyal companion.
Born on June 16, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bob was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who cherished spending time with his family and friends. Known for his ever-present smile, fun-loving attitude, telling jokes, and offering a helping hand when needed, his warmth and laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
An animal lover at heart, he and his beloved dog Maddie were inseparable companions who shared countless adventures together. Whether going out for a pup cup, taking a ride to see the deer, or just running errands, you could always find Maddie sitting right by his side.
One of his greatest passions was boating. He found true happiness on the water, especially when he could go full throttle and race across the water as fast as the boat would go. His yellow Jersey Speed Skiff was more than just a boat; it was his pride and joy.
Bob will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Although he left us too soon, we will forever carry his spirit and memory in our hearts.
