Rhett Daniel Myers

Rhett Daniel Myers passed away surrounded by his immediate family on the morning of July 25, 2020. Rhett was the loving son of Joseph Gordon and Bonnie Sersen Myers; dear brother of Jessica St. Ann Myers and her partner Brooke; cherished nephew of Mary Jo and Jordon Myers. Rhett is also survived by many childhood, college, and neighborhood friends.

Rhett is a proud Bowley’s Quarters native and spent his whole life crabbing, fishing, boating, and sailing throughout Galloway Creek and its neighboring waters. He graduated from Calvert Hall College and was active in sports to include football, wrestling, and baseball. He also graduated from Frostburg State University in 2008 with two degrees while spending much of his free time hiking and kayaking throughout Western Maryland. Rhett worked many positions that he found fulfilling to include being a “manny,” landscaper, and running dogs with Woof Driver. He is an adventurer and traveled many places with friends to include Spain, cross-country trips, white water rafting in the Pacific NorthWest, and sailing to Columbia, South America. Rhett is a dog lover and is passionate about being in nature and sharing his knowledge of horticulture and geology.

A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider planting a tree in Rhett’s name or making a donation to an organization with a mission that cares for dogs or nature.
