Marie Dolores (Evans) Palermo

On January 15, 2026 Marie Dolores Palermo (nee Evans); devoted mother of Doreen G. McEwen, Monica J. Collins and her husband Wayne, Christina M. Palermo-Basta and her husband John and Catherine A. Jones and her husband Harold; former wife of Thomas J. Palermo; loving grandmother of David and Jason Jones and Caden Basta; cherished aunt of Janet Schultz, Doug Evans and his wife Marge, Dorsey Evans, Dale Evans and his wife Barb, Tony Lovalvo and his wife Kim, Michael Lovalvo and his wife Tara and Jane Swiger and her husband Denny. She is preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Also survived by great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church,18310 Middletown Rd, Parkton, MD 21120 on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10am. Interment Middletown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a food pantry in Marie's honor. 

Marie was a devoted mother and wife, caring for her girls always. Her 4 daughters were her greatest joy. Marie was a devout Catholic and loved flowers, gardening, sitting on her back porch rocking, puzzling, reading and watching the birds she fed daily. She loved to take bus trips and travel throughout the U.S. with her daughters, sister and friends. Marie touched many lives during her lifetime and will be remembered fondly as the sweetest lady throughout the Hereford Zone.
