On August 12, 2025 Lois "Aunt Lo" A. McElwee (nee Bidinger), beloved wife of Jimmy N. McElwee; devoted mother of Anthony M. McElwee- went home to her Lord and Savior.
She was the dear sister of Joyce Duty and her husband Chuck and the late Russell Bidinger; sister-in-law of Kathy; cherished aunt of Jennifer, Jamie, Joanna, Rachel, Wayne, Shelly and Mike; great aunt of Lexy, Bradley, Lois, Billy, Jayce, Kaylee, Cassidy, Jacob, Ryleigh, Brittany, Brandon, Tre and Ashley.
Lois cherished many joys in life, but her happiest moments were often spent with her family, especially during the holidays.
She found great fulfillment in hosting gatherings, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will last forever.
Beyond family, Lois was an active member of her church, a faithful bingo player, and someone who delighted in visits to the beach.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 7, 11:45 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 404 N. Marlyn Avenue, Essex, MD.
In lieu of flowers, we invite all to attend Church service at 10:30 a.m. that morning, prior to the Celebration.
